Just did a fresh install of Mint 20.1 on one of my
thinkpads and this is the 2nd of some issues to resolve:
On my other computer, I have a small c program
called "readin" that works like a "hot-key" to select
options in an html menu called ZIP with a keystroke.
This program has been working successfully on
several of my computers for many years; however
when copied on to the new Mint 20.1 install, and
invoked, it does not work.
Instead, when executed, I see an endless stream of
the following four (4) lines repeating, and I have
kill the window to stop the endless repeating:
ZIP temp >>> /home/joe/bin/j: line 29: /home/joe/bin/readin:
No such file or directory
Basic ZIP options are:
<H>ead <T>ail <W>rite <P>rint <Q>uit <SPACEBAR> for more options
The utility "readin" actually is in: /home/joe/bin/readin
So why does the computer keep saying "No such file or directory"
I wonder if the problem has something to do with .bashrc
