Subject: Re: external U.S.robotics fax modem
Well, you know how insurances are. They want to mail me the documents or forms yet they know my email address and doesn't want to send it by email. They have the capability to send me a type of file that would allow me to fill out and sign my name via computer but they won't do that. Plus paperwork from my wheelchair place about repairs. Also from doctors and appointments.
Just once someone from my insurance put a letter into my email and sent it to me instead of sending it by mail.
With all the technology out there they will want to use fax machines because they are more secure when sending documents they say. A PDF file is an encrypted file and can't be seen for info while in route. But you can't tell them nothing.
I know that there is eFax, fax to email, or email to fax.
I'm just getting a little pissed that some of the mail my insurance sends me doesn't get to me and lately the mail at times is a little scary wondering if it will get to me or not. So if I want to get my documents from them I will get a fax machine until they smarten up and start using the new technology that is available.
I honestly can't afford to pay the online fax service as I'm very low income.
All my documents and stuff I get in the mail is scanned into the storage computer so I can pull it up when necessary when I happen to be talking to them on the phone.
I know all the technology that's out there as I look forward to the new stuff that comes out. But insurances and other businesses are getting a little behind the 8 ball.
