I didn't want to co-opt the thread about Installfest for a sale item. But, one of the posters mentioned that they are looking for older hardware for a server project.
I have an older laptop that's been sitting in my closet for quite some time.
Everything works great. Left hinge is slightly loose, but in no way affects the lid from closing.
