I'd love to be wrong here, but for
years nvidia imposed a limitation of only 2 monitors possible at
all when I was already doing 6x wide with ati on a 5870 card. As
buggy as fglrx tended to be, it mostly worked as a desktop in ways
nvidia seemingly could only dream.
What does this show on yours for the first line? The maximum is
relevant here.

Looking at the plugs available on the nvidia 1080 it looks like it
would easily drive 3-8K monitors and a 4K monitor all at the same
