youtube-dl downloads the first of the series

I'm tying to steal a youtube video series about darktable. When I download
one it appears all 17 of the series download load. It appears as if only
one is in the directory so I download the next one; unfortunately, I
discover that I only downloaded the first one again. So why is it doing
this?
