I currently use use a 15-inch Macbook Pro for development (company issued)
and have used a comparable Dell laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro previously
(Also company issued). But laptops required extensive
additions/modifications to work in full stack web development for all
linux-based server stacks.
Preference would be a Linovo X250 or T450 series laptop stripped of Windows
completely and Kubuntu or Arch installed to develop on.
