MySql appears to be auto starting after I stop it.

Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04LTS. When I stop MySql it seems to be
automatically restarting.

I am root.

Command : /etc/init.d/mysql stop


Then when I issue : /etc/init.d/mysql status it shows it has been
running for just a couple seconds.

Am I going crazy or do I need to do something different to stop MySql?
