There is no reason to register domains on GoDaddy.com unless you:

0) Your Customer requires it.
1) Can't manage your own DNS.

If you are hosting elsewhere (GoDaddy's MYSQL servers are SLOW), although
their management interface has improved, there is ZERO reason to register
there.
