Subject: Samba - The bane of my existence
Can someone PLEASE help me with this:

I have NEVER been able to get my Linux machine (Kubuntu 13.04) to see a
"Shared" device on my network and access it.

I have samba and smb4k GUI

It SEES the device but asks for a password.... that doesn't exist.

Really folks, I KNOW it is simple, but (I) cannot figure it out. It the
blessing and curse of linux.
Been running it for abt 5 yrs and I have NEVER had two machines that
could see shares, linux or otherwise.

MY guess is that it is something in the smb.conf but damned if (I) know
WHAT. I truly am clueless at this point.

Reaching out..
