auto insert current date date in Libre office

I am getting better at searching online for things and searching help
menus. However I couldn't find a solution for this:
I'm making a template with libreoffice. Is there a way to get it to
automatically insert the current date after retrieving the template form?
It is easy enough to do each time but I was wondering if it could be done
auto matically.
