Mike,
Duckduckgo is one of the search engines that you can use with the TOR
Browser Bundle <
https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en>
to anonymize your activity on the 'Net. Basically you bounce around the
planet from any of the 3,000 servers that you can usually find available.
If you really looking for stealth check out WHONIX
<
http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/smbit/whonix-adds-a-layer-of-anonymity-to-your-business-tasks/638>.
It is an anonymous operating system, and is run off of the Oracle VM
VMWare. Here is a Link
<

mine running. It is not that I am doing anything funky. I'm just
interested in the security offered here. BTW, it is based off of Debian,
and uses the KDE Desktop Manager.
