Mike, you do not want to boot from an ED on USB 1.1 which I think is all
you have on that old Net Vista machine. Besides, if you buy an ED drive it
will probably cost more than an internal.

You don't need a very big one either. 20-40 GB 5.25" IDE drives are barely
worth anything used but are near impossible to find new for any decent
price (though Amazon seemed to have one for $42 plus shipping). If you
were down here in the valley I could probably find one to give you. You
might ask in that Linux group you found up there.

Please protect my address like I protect yours. When sending messages to
multiple recipients, always use the BCC: (Blind carbon copy) and not To: or
CC:. Also remove all of the addresses from the message body before
forwarding the message. These simple measures prevent spy programs from
capturing the addresses shown in the recipient list and the message body.
