openprinting.org has their repo offline for maintenance, which is
causing the error you are seeing. They have a standard disclaimer up
that it should be restored soon, but who knows...
You printer problem is not due to this error, and is probably in no
way related to this error, since it's happening before any printing
packages would be updated or changed. Intermittent issues with
network printers are almost always a network issue, and not the
driver, further pointing to the update error having nothing to do with
your printer problem.
