Subject: wirless access point

After using several router/ap for a couple of years I found using routers as Access points
wrt54gXXXX with DDWRT all work great and stable but G/100
N and gigbit does not always work with DDWRT correctly but these are below
wrt610n v1 2 with ddwrt great but will overheat over 85 Deg even with tx powers cut to 40 mv (burned up 2)
E3000 with ddwrt great but will overheat over 85 Deg even with tx powers cut to 40 mv
WNDR3700 works great with DDWRT at stock 70mv settings
WNDR37AV works great with DDWRT at stock 70mv settings
the largest converge gains are made by adding external high gain antennas
my next one will be a Buffalo unit
and always cisco and other industrial duty units
