PLUG East meeting Sep 8th

Abstract: identi.ca is a FLOSS micro-blogging service ( twitter
replacement ) from StatusNet. The presentation will cover identi.ca as a
social networking tool, its strengths and weaknesses and the standards
it implements.

Bio: der.hans is the founder of ABLEconf. He's also chairman of the
Phoenix Linux Users Group, founder of the Free Software Stammtisch, lead
for SCaLE 10x BoFs, strategic advisor to TEDxPhoenix and an adjunct
faculty at Mesa Community College.

We will also start a new series of mini presentations by Brian Cluff on
various multimedia sotware, starting with Inkscape. Each month one or
two (maybe more) features will be demonstrated with the desired result
that everyone walks away understanding how to repeat the demonstated
features.
