He said he wanted 1 server in each data center, so that his website
would be available even if 1 data center goes down. That's HA not
load balancing. I disagree that it's not a challenge. Remote data
centers means the likelihood of split brain goes up quite a lot, as
compared to a set of servers connected via crossover ethernet or via
serial cable.
