pairing two computers running bluetooth

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone could help me pair two debian computers via
bluetooth-pand.

Basically, I have two bluetooth usb dongles that can see each other via the
commandline

# hcitool scan

but I'm having a hard time pairing them together to transfer files and share
internet connections.

The main documentation I've seen is:

http://bluez.sourceforge.net/contrib/HOWTO-PAN

and it seems too RedHat specific for my case.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
