whois on ubuntu

On ubuntu Hardy, I get:

shubes@edwin:~$ whois 113.53.156.48
Unknown AS number or IP network. Please upgrade this program.
shubes@edwin:~$

On CentOS5 I get information back.

Anyone know how to update whois on ubuntu so I get information on this
address?
