Subject: ATI Ubuntu and GPU clock speeds
I decided i needed linux on my main machine again (i game with it
mostly so sadly windows has been the platform of choice most of the
time)

it installed well and drivers loaded well, the ATI catalyst actually
worked the way it should this time.

however i am finding that y graphics card is now underclocked and as
such im getting some weird performance issues.

From the spec page (and origonal clocks) it should be about 740 Mhz
with 1100 Mhz memory clock.
http://www.diamondmm.com/2900XT1GPE.php

but right now its running the gpu at 508 mhz

the Linux ati console does not seem to allow me to reset this. anyone
heard of an app that i can reset this in Linux?

A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from
rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
