My oldest is off to college and her spiffy new macbook has a built in web
cam, so we thought we would Skype each other while she is away. My old Dell
laptop (P4)/Debian testing machine does not have a built-in webcam, so I am
looking for some recommendations for webcams that work with Debian and Skype
out of the box. Cheap is good, but I would pay a little more for a better
picture. :-)
I don't have a built-in microphone either, so I will need that as well with
the webcam.

P.S. There was a recent thread on this list about a Logitech QuickCam
Communicate Deluxe that did not work with Kubuntu, and required compiling
new modules from source. I would also pay a little more to avoid that
headache. I would prefer a simpler apt-get install if needed.
