Well, I want some thumb drives with free and open filesystems that can be
used everywhere. We'll tackle *BЅDs once we have windows working :).

ltools looks interesting.

Like ext2ifs ltools has read-write perms. Most of the other tools I found
seem to be read-only. I'm not sure if ltools uses a kernel module. I don't
see mention of one. That gives me hope that it can be used directly from
the USB drive without being installed. It worries me about performance,
but I'm not too worried about that for now.
