there is reality and there is theory.
As Johnson clearly states, the reality is..."The pack ice has thinned by
about 40 percent in the last 30 years and may be nearly gone in a few
decades, said Johnson."
The theory is that the increased salinity MAY result in new ice sheet
formations.
