Subject: Goofed up usb stick

First, I very seldom use cli, and when I do, it is very basic. I thought I could 'un-goof' this usb stick.

What happened is I tried to make a bootable and now the files cannot be deleted nor written to.

I am using a mandriva flavor called pclinuxos.

1. How do I use chmod command to open it so I can delete what is there now as the system doesn't see it as bootable and,

2. Try to make a bootable from a downloadable.

I have a system with a bad cdrom..not writer, that WILL boot/install from a usb stick. That was done on one partition at the installfest, but I want to 'play' and experiment with installing other os.

I SHOULD have brought the usb stick to the installfest, but forgot it.

TIA
