I took a double take on this one. Google has a windows calendar sync for
outlook, (Evolution does not require an add on to do this) and their is
Google sync if (and only if) you have a mobile phone, however, other then a
few buggy LDAP solutions I have not found a way to actually "sync" your
contacts. You can however export out of windows and into evolution or
Gmail.

If some one out their knows how to sync directly between your desktop client
and Google for outlook and evolution please, I would love to know.

well the imap solution would have been my suggestion as well.

I know you can get Google sync and sync his contacts with a gmail account,
also handy to sync the email on the same acct if they create a new one.

i cannot remember if Google will sync with evolution however.

Alternatively you use the IMAP fro the email store and you use a CSV export
for contacts.. then edit the resulting spreadsheet and then import.
