Subject: Re: EC2 users?
I'm using AWS (i.e., the online disk space portion) on a pretty
regular basis for small online backups and automated synchronization
between devices. Have been using it since Fall 08 and am very
pleased.

As for Elastic Computing (EC2), last year I kicked the tires on couple
virtual computer images (AMIs such as FreeBSD, OpenSolaris, Win 2K3
Server, and I think Fedora or Ubuntu) to see how provisioning,
installing and access worked. It was pretty slick and I was happy
with the whole setup except for pricing (I very roughly estimated it
at about $80/month for just the virtual computer footprint on the grid
with no major traffic spikes).

As with most things ymmv but I'm keeping an eye on Amazon for AWS and
EC2 and other future projects...
