Totally agree with Eric here.

If you want to learn Redhat (now commonly called "RedHat Enterprise
Linux" or RHEL) do CentOS.

We use it here at the office (we abandoned Fedora because its too
bleeding edge) and haven't looked back.

CentOS: All the convenience of RHEL and none of the pain.
