That's what used to be called "kppp", right? That's an OK frontend to
pppd.

Check the docs for what those things do, and see whether the settings
are more appropriate in the 'Doze string.

This is pretty low. 1500 (or 1492) is usually the thing you want to use.

Probably won't help. I tried this in 2000, there was no speed increase
at all, and it broke everything that used Path MTU Discovery.
