Honestly there are so many Live CD's out there you can aquire one of
them and get a nearly full experience of what the OS will be have like
I would probably suggest Ubuntu 8.04 or 8.10 as a start unless you
already have a preferred distribution. OpenSUSE is also very solid in
their driver support.
