Subject: Gnash to be included in Debian Lenny
Hello list,

According to Miriam Ruiz, Gnash, a GPL released flash player for GNU/Linux
(ports underway for Windows and MacOS X) with support for up to Flash 7 and
ActionScript 2, and growing support for v8 and v9 files is finally included
in Debian Lenny.

I personally have had mixed experience with Gnash, with it failing to render
most youtube videos and (thankfully I suppose) many ads :)

Currently I'm running flashplayer-nonfree so hopefully proper bug fixes and
other features will be added to their next upstream release (scheduled for
January 2009)

Gnash is a GNU project hosted on savannah.

Thanks and best regards,
Ryan Rix
