more lately in the areas of intellectual property and drug policies.
I don't imagine privacy policies will be any more immune from this.

There seems to be a lot of compromising from officials that claim to
be defenders of civil liberties on this issue. Voting for them will
let them know its ok. My recommendation: Don't.
