This sucks. I was hoping to make ToL a known presence in the community.
Oh well.

They never said why they were canceling. This was all very abrupt.

The Ubuntu Live conference, which was scheduled to take place July 21-22
in Portland, OR has been cancelled. We are planning to include some Ubuntu
content in the O'Reilly Open Source Convention (OSCON), also happening July
21-25 in Portland, Oregon. We invite those interested in future Ubuntu
events
and developments to watch http://www.ubuntu.com/. For further inquiries,
please contact pr@canonical.com.

We'd be happy to offer you a full free registration pass to OSCON 2008;
please let me know if you're interested in that, so I can set that up for
