Actually, in addition to being innovative in many other areas the XO is
designed to tread lightly on the environment[1] and to be be made with
fewer hazardous materials compared to conventional laptops.
The XO is fully compliant with the European Union's RoHS Directive and
has been given the highest EnergyStar rating.
The battery is made from an advance Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery that
is not only cheaper to make but has less risk of exploding.
The XO is "designed it so that five-year-old kids in Nigeria can screw
