Subject: Killing a process when kill -9 doesn't work?
I have an odd situation. I have a process that just won't die. I know I
could reboot the box, but that is to easy. So the question I pose to the
group is how do you kill something when kill -9 doesn't work?
For those people who are going to ask, my RPM database has become funky and
now I have an rpm process that will not close no matter what I have tried
and I really hate resorting to the M$ fix.
