I love linux, I use it at home on my laptop, and I use it at work on our
servers. We are not allowed to use linux as a desktop, but servers are ok.
stupid policy, I know. But most businesses are that way. Sorry for the rant.

Anyway, my wife uses an iMac (an older model of about 3 or 4 years ago, but we
still have tiger on it). She loves it, and thinks that everyone should use a
mac. So between myself and her, we are the other 10% I guess.

The only thing I don't like about the mac, is that nfs between linux and mac
are very much incompatable, I don't know how BSD could have gotten nfs
implementation so screwed up!

You are looking at the intel mac right? yes that would be a good model.
You will have to look out for the IE only websites and they are numerous.
Talk about discrimination. And stupidity, how hard could it be to just code to
standards instead of assuming all of us would come through internet exploder.
You would think programmers would know better.

I don't think it matters, when you go to the GURU's in the store they don't
care where you bought it -- it IS an apple so it doesn't matter

Good luck!
