How do I mount my hdd under knoppix?

I've been away from Linux for quite a while and can't remember how to
mount my hdd. Seems to me Knoppix would mount it for you. I went to /mnt
and found a dir called hd/ but there is nothing in there.

I'm using Knoppix 3.6 on a Dell Dimension e510.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
