There are many options to do this:

- - Most backup server software, proprietary or not, provide a Linux
client or daemon. I don't remember which one we use but this is the
solution. The daemon runs on the Linux box and makes the specified
directory trees accessible to the backup server via the network connection.

- - Setup a Samba share on your Linux box that the server maps for backup.

- - Have the Linux box map a share from a server drive that is always in
the backup. Then a cron job or some other automatic means can copy the
data to that Windows share for backup.

Those are three methods of the top of my head. I'm sure others using
rsync and/or ftp, ssh or whatever can be used.
