Subject: (ubuntu) problem enabling gl desktop (aiglx)
Hi,

I've gotten a little tired of working so hard to get Fedora 6 running right on my laptop. Don't get me wrong, its a great distro. It's just been a challenge to get some of the non-oss stuff working on it. (like mp3's, nvidia driver, aiglx, etc)

So I thought I'd try Ubuntu again because I like that they replaced init with upstart for better booting/shutdown

It's gotten better.

I got the nvidia driver setup (need to check the version). The problem is that when I enabled gl desktop, all the window bars disappear. No minimize, maximize, close, drag and move around.

I'm using compiz, not beryl. I've seen this fixed by a reboot before, but i've also see it not fixed by reboot before. Any advice?

Thanks
-j
