Slow system

I'm sure you are right about there being something else wrong. I mean.....
my internet is acting as if I had dial-up and loading programs take longer
than they did when I was running a 2.4 kernel. When I first installed my
2.6 kernel things were running faster. Things seem to be slowing as time
progrsses!
