Subject: How to save kwrite backup~ files to a backup directory?
.
When using the kwrite editor, it makes backup duplicate files
in the same directory as the original (creating a lot of clutter).

How can I configure kwrite to send all backup files to a different
place, i.e. /usr/tmp or /home/joe/backups ??

In the kwrite configuration file open/save option, I tried
to put /home/joe/backups/ in as a prefix, but that did not work.
