Xming is a free MSWindows X server without the overhead of cygwin
http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Xming
It can automatically use PuTTY's plink.exe utility to start up
SSH-tunnelled X sessions.
I've recently started to be convinced that msys + xming is all the
*nix compatibility I need on an MS box.
