Kurt, Thats almost as exciting as trying to hit
www.freshmeat.net. I can't
count the number of people who thought that site was something other than a
site for OSS junkies. I'm thinking about developing a general purpose
disclaimer for corporate sysadmins.
CORPORATE GUY: "uhh... Zeidner, whats up with freshmeat.net?"
ME: "It's not what you think."
CG: "Right. We'll keep it between us."
ME: "really, its a software site"
CG: "Sure it is. Let's make sure we don't hit that 'software site' again."
... and so on.
btw- Freshmeat regularly misreports licensing information on OSS packages.
Its very irritating, I'm thinking of getting a petition together. So far
both SugarCRM and Zimbra were misreported, neither are OSI approved in
contradiction to the information offered on the site. jmz
