I did attempt to install Mandriva One 2007.
First, let me say that the LiveCD is pretty slick, and I've tried a few LiveCD's. I was able to do a lot of things without installing.
So I attempted install. Maybe its me, but their partition wiz left me confused and concerned I overwrote
my Win partition... but I didn't
BUT I also didn't format the Fedora root partition, which is where mandriva root was installed.
So the reboot gave an interesting mix of Fedora GRUB followed by Fedora kernel and Mandriva boot modules.
It actually managed to load KDM, but I couldn't log into X. I just might try again, cause I liked the Mandriva KDE desktop.

Subject: Re: mandriva 2007 dual boot
Mandriva 2007 is very solid I am running it right now. I haven't used VMWare but it is said to work very well. For dual boot, just install XP first and leave some free, unformatted disk space (or shrink your existing partitions), then run the Mandriva installer. When prompted, install the bootloader into the MBR. Works very well.

most any linux is pretty much dual boot friendly (lilo or grub depending on
your fancy). you just have to be careful that you don't misplace the ntldr
program for winxp.
