That's interesting. I was looking at my Ubunto partition (non-booted) from
my (booted) FC5 partition. This would seem to indicate that /etc/hostname
exists on Ubuntu only when the machine is booted on that partition. Kind of
like something I'd expect to reside in /proc, not in /etc. I can't say I
like this behavior.
