Free printers are frequently worth about that much. I am fairly sure the
Dell 720 was one of the freebies that most users used up the ink in the
cartridges and then trashed the printers (some did not wait for the ink to
go dry). Biggest reason was the ink was only available from Dell and was
very expensive.
One of the schools got a bunch of these and when they tired of opening boxes
of new printers to steal the ink carts, they sent the whole lot to StRUT
including some that had never been opened.
But what the heck, printers are cheap these days.
