That is a design feature GM put into the LS1's programming -- a little
too much timing advance.
Look for Nic in the AZFBA forums. Talk to Mike at AZ Power and Sound or
the Pro Dyno guys. This is a standard problem with a standard solution
for us desert dwellers.
Changing the coolant temp is not the correct solution.
The 'summer gas' here makes things worse. My solution - mix in race gas.
Trick 101 and 76 Comp 100 are both available in town.
