mp3 and other audio/video codecs are not KERNEL modules. The article
specifically says the issue is known and a fix should be out a day or
two after the release. So, this would only affect nvidia, broadcom,
some scsi raid devices. NDISwrapper shouldn't as it is under the GPL.
