PGP GPG on [K]Ubuntu

Hello,

I am finding the PGP functionality on Kubuntu rather lacking. Can anyone
account for this? Any recommendations? Does anyone here use PGP/GPG on
Debian or Debian-based distros such as Ubuntu?
