OT: JAVA question

I'm trying to convert an Applet I've been running on FireFox to a
stand-alone application. I used getAudioClip() to play .au files, but
that is now showing up as undefined and the SUN docs list it under Class
Applet. What's the simplest substitute for a stand-alone app?
