Advanced Power Management on Dell Latitude Laptop

Hello,

My name is Josh Zeidner. I am trying to get the Advanced Power Management
functionality to work with Debian / Ubuntu linux on my Dell Latitude
laptop. I noticed this person is running Ubuntu on his Dell laptop:

unknown Dell user: did you get APM to work? What did you use for the
wireless driver? Did you get the sleep functionality to work?

without APM my battery life is short.
