Netscape DS is owned by Sun, as SunOne DS. It's still proprietary. This is a web-based (Apache mod_nss) admin tool that was developed for OpenLDAP.
Curiously, Apache has their own LDAP server in development (Apache DS,
http://directory.apache.org/ It's Java based, so expect it to be bundled with both Harmony and Geronimo at some point)
